Hali and Adam are the perfect example of making your wedding day a reflection of the two of you. Hali works as a chef, and Adam works in the beer sector- so we knew from the start hospitality, good food, and a kick ass open bar were necessary ingredients. They are both very laid back people, and wanted a day that felt elevated but approachable and true to them. The words “upscale tailgate” were a common mantra throughout the planning process. I really feel like we were able to encapsulate that energy in their Hamilton Loft wedding.
Having some outdoor space for their summer wedding was crucial. We ended up landing on Hamilton Loft in Brooklyn as the backdrop for the day. The modern, industrial vibe while still feeling light and bright was the perfect fit. Hali and Adam both love plants and greenery, so we worked with Isabel from A Lily Among Thorns to help make the space feel more organic. Greenery in the rafters, a mix of textures and neutral colors, and fun styling made everything feel alive. One of my favorite touches was the beautiful stone vases at the bar that doubled as bar menus! During their ceremony, they had beautiful urns framing them while they live mixed their own signature cocktail. Later, guests could grab this drink from the bar to try themselves.
As I mentioned earlier, “Upscale Tailgate” was a defining theme for us throughout planning. Cocktail hour was the best opportunity to bring this to life. We brought in a tent and had tons of fun yard games brought in from Upstate Jamboree. Hali and Adam made their own custom cornhole sets and guests got to partake in some friendly competition while enjoying hot off the grill meats and appetizers. The quiet Brooklyn breeze while the sun set made for the perfect transition on their way in to dinner. And of course, we had to have roaming caviar to really take this to an elevated tailgate.
Being the foodies that they are, it was only fitting that the table numbers were cake. After dinner, everyone got to partake in the cake cutting and self serve for their table! Adam and Hali had custom rally towels made that guests waved for their grand entrance into dinner. We worked with STE Events to craft a dinner menu that brought in elevated takes on comfort food served family style. And once everyone had their fill, it was time to tear up the dance floor. DJ Mariko kept the dance floor packed as per usual, and everyone had an absolute blast.
It was such a joy to help craft such an intentional and fun day for these two!
