A Bright, Rustic Fall Wedding at Greenpoint Loft

Have you ever met someone who feels like pure sunshine in a bottle? That’s Grace and Jeremy. They came to me with a simple vision for their wedding. They wanted a day that was laid back, approachable, but still felt elevated. Kind of our specialty! I loved getting to work with them to design the perfect colorful wedding at Greenpoint Loft.

One of the first orders of business was food. Jeremy and Grace knew from the start that they wanted to work with Hometown BBQ for dinner. From there, we could build out the rest of the day. Dinner was a lush, messy Southern barbecue buffet- so we wanted to balance that with some high end touches. During cocktail hour, we had butler passed appetizers and Red Oyster shucking oysters while roaming. Open bars with specialty cocktails were flowing as guests enjoyed the sunset on the rooftop. After dinner, we had a gorgeous display of desserts from Lauren Schofield, on silver trays with hand written cards to elevate the grab and go set up.

Grace told me very adamantly that she LOVED color- my kind of girl. So in designing the day, we wanted to bring in lots of color in a way that felt organic and intentional. We worked with Joi Blooms to design the flowers and incorporated all locally grown wildflowers. Using this variety helped make the day feel super whimsical and approachable, but still elevated.

We also brought in rentals that had some extra detail as a contrast to the more casual food style. One of my favorite touches came in the glasses and napkins. When we were at the rental showroom, Grace fell in love with all the colored glassware and was having a hard time narrowing it down. Instead of trying to pick one or two, we used green as a base for the linen and then alternated glasses with matching napkins at every seat. Keeping the base consistent across the tables helped make the pops of color feel grounded and intentional!

After dinner, guests danced under the string lights to DJ Rafe, who kept the dance floor packed. You could feel the love radiating from all the guests, who were completely enamored with Grace and Jeremy. Understandably so! The whole day felt like such a true reflection of their personalities and love. Congratulations to you both!
