Something I am so passionate about in this field is doing whatever the heck you want for your wedding day. The only requirements you have to have for a wedding are two people in love and someone licensed to marry. Everything else is whatever you want! Kou and Eric embraced this to the fullest with a fantasy inspired wedding at MyMoon.
To start the day, the two got ready together at their friend’s apartment with the rest of their entourage.
After some portraits in the neighborhood and around the venue, they prepared for their star ceremony. Rather than traditional “bride” or “groom” titles, Kou was referenced as The Prince and Eric was The Knight. Their wedding party was referred to as The Entourage. During the ceremony, they had a choreographed entrance and exchanged vows via star orbs. The star ceremony was so sweet and unique! I loved how personalized every aspect of the ceremony was.
Eric and Kou are both graphic artists who met in art school, so naturally, the reception was full of nods to their artistic side.
They both design their own comic books, so they had a station for guests to make their own comics for themselves or the couple. Two of their favorite anime characters greeted guests into the reception. Instead of traditional table numbers, they utilized clow cards as table markers with custom holders. Kou’s mom created the ceremony arrangements herself and they were absolutely gorgeous.
After a delicious family style dinner, guests hit the dance floor and rocked out with DJ Ben Boylan. He did such a great job mixing both popular hits as well as some of their favorite anime and manga music. The dance floor was packed all night! I loved how personal Eric and Kou made the day and just how many special touches were incorporated. Congratulations to the royal couple!
