While every couple I work with has a special place in my heart, this one was particularly special. I’ve known Lydia for over 8 years now, after meeting back in college at Savannah College of Art and Design. We both ended up moving to NYC post grad. When she met Ryan and later got engaged, I was THRILLED to help them plan the most perfect wedding day. Their dreamy Sagamore wedding in Lake George was one I will never forget.

Lydia and Ryan frequently go upstate and enjoy time in nature, so it was a perfect choice to celebrate their wedding outside the city. They loved the lakefront vibes and how stunning the Sagamore Resort is. We used the resort to influence a lot of design decisions. Lydia and I met while taking fashion classes, so I knew her design was going to be epic. She took inspiration from the natural blue of the lake and accented with gorgeous pinks and creamy white. They incorporated a number of hand drawn elements in their paper goods (which Lydia designed herself!).

Everyone knows rain on your wedding day symbolizes good luck, so that means Lydia and Ryan will have LOADS of good luck. Although it was a very damp day, we quickly adjusted to move everything inside of the onsite tent. The silver lining was the floral clouds we had planned with Three Notch Floral were now part of the ceremony! Ryan and Lydia were such great sports. During their vows, they even mentioned how crazy weather seems to be a common denominator throughout their relationship. After cocktail hour, the most BEAUTIFUL cotton candy sunset came out and we were able to get some incredible portraits of the two newlyweds.

Both Lydia and Ryan are big music lovers, so a live band was absolutely necessary for their reception. We worked with Wilson Stevens’ band, The Clique, and they completely brought the house down. At the end of the night, Ryan and Lydia got to live out their rock star dreams on stage with the band for the final song of the night.

I can’t emphasize enough how special it is to see people you love find their person and ride off into the sunset together (literally!). I’m so happy I got to be a part of Lydia and Ryan’s Sagamore wedding. Congratulations loves!
